In 2012 I had alot of fun with my friends and I achieved all my learning goals and my highlight for this year was the Ngaruawahia picnic and waitamo caves.These were both middle syn trips

Hi its katie and this is what I am doing in the weekend.

well today on the 1st of december on saturday we are going to go to a persons farm called rebecca at lunch time but her farm is not a dairy farm her farm is a normal farm where there are cows,sheep,goats amd more and I can't wait  if it was a dairy farm I would tell you all about it but I is not a dairy farm and by the way it is almost lunch and I will come back on the computer when we come back from rebecca's farm and I will tell you all about it ok?

now we are back and it was so much fun first we said hello to rebecca then we went and said hello to the animals there were three goats and one big cow but it was a male and it did not have an udder.

when I dived in it looked like I was hiding

100 Word Challenge

The chocolate that talks

It all started when I saw one lonely piece of chocolate but it was not just chocolate it, it, it talked.

But way before I knew it talked I picked the lovely piece of chocolate and put it near my mouth and the chocolate went closer and closer and even closer and then I heard “ahhhhhh don’t eat me”.

 I looked around the room and I was very confused and then the chocolate said again “Hey look down you monster” “hey who, who said that”.

“Me just please don’t eat me!!!”

“Ok I won’t” said the girl but then she was so hungry that she just ate the piece of chocolate.

Grass heads

Here is my video about my grass head that I made mine is a spider.

This is how i made it.First I got a stocking and then put a little hand full of seeds,

then soil and tied a knot.Then I put it in a cup and started to make it a spider.This is how it turned out.

Mathethon

Here is a photo of my Mathethon score my score was 34.I'm proud of my score because I got a really high score and I tried my best and did my best!

I also praticed at home and bet my score over and over again.

Next time you do a math test or challenge remmber to do your best and try hard!

Calander Art Work

This is my calander Art work there are blossoms,colourful birds made out of wall paper,butterflies and a nice died background.
First we died our background blue and green and then we got a nice dark brown pastel and drawed some sticks and branches then we mixed sades of pink intill we had the right colour pink that we wanted then we got our finger and dipped it in the piant and did little pink blossoms.Then when the blossoms had tried we painted the middle of our blossoms and then started to make out birds and ather creatures and glued them on.Then we glued it on to black paper.

Wow that's a big slide and I'm  going to go down it! I said
"Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" I went down the big slide because it was so fun I went on it again and again!

Every time I went down the slide I always canon balled into the colorful balls The balls were as bright as the sun I always said.

Then it was time to go home and in the car I got sick from going down the slide to many times!
And that was the end of going to that slide!

The old mans Advechure

The sky was pinkie red and the clouds were drifting through the sky. The old man was imagining where he would end up.The Turtles keeped gliding through the red sky and finally thay come to an end and he was amazed where he ended up.The were so many after turtles and there was a huge clear,blue sea and he hopped off the big green turtle and found some where to rest for the night and made a little hut from wood and some things from a sunken ship and he stayed there for mouths and he had lots of food and water because he lived right next to a jungle and it was full of  fresh fruit then finally after six mouths there he was rested and token to hospital luckily nothing was wrong with him.

Hearing

Last Tuesday Night.

Hello,I'm going to tell you about one mysteries night.It all started after every one was fast asleep,At 8pm in a Big,slimy swamp there were three tided,sleepy frogs fast asleep an all of a sadden all the slimy frogs stared to fly on there Lilly pads!!


"Whoa whats happening!" said one of the frogs " I think i know whats happening " said anther frog " we're flying""wicked awesome" said bob "what sall we do now,Zack""no i deer but i know that tonight is going to by awesome!!"Jackie's legs was trembling" aah Jackie what are you doing" "Don't tell me your sacred,are you?" " No" " I know that voice"said Zack "Guys guys guys guys guys guys guys guys" said bob "What what what what what what what what what !!"Said Zack"what" said bob"d'oh"said Zack slapping his head than anther frog went past "Wwwwwwwweeeeeeeee!!"said dingo"Came on" "Dingo Bro!!" said bob lets Gggggooooo""OK!""Aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!" "something is on me" said dingo" its just a white sheet" said Zack "Aah i new that" said dingo "man he's a dingo" said bob then bob went past a house"Hello" said bob"What the" said a man in the house.

Then the three fling frogs went into a haunted house and in the haunted house was an sleeping Lady and the  frogs started to watch TV and one of the frogs changed the Chanel with his tongue  bressing  the battens and then the frogs started to stop  fling and thay needed to hop back to the swamp and the detectives looked at the Lilly pads and thay did not know what happened and the frogs were not really happy and then the next Tuesday night pigs stared to fly oh no.

How we hear sound

Here is a digram of an ear.

This is how it works  First something makes a sound which makes sound waves. It goes into your ear canal and then goes through the eardrum and into the ossicles. Finally through the cochlea and makes  electrical pulses to the brain.

1. I want to know how the music goes through water because sometimes you can haer it under the water?
2. How does the music get through the instrument so fast?
3. How does the music get made high and low?

Anzac day

We have been learning about anzac day.
This is what I have learnt.....

• It is time to remember the people who fought around the world.
• 2,721  people died and 4,725 got wounded.
• The anzac's fought in 1915.
• The anzac's landed in the wrong side of the hills.
• anzac day is on the 25th of April.
• The anzacs stayed in Turkey from april to December (eight months)

We researched these facts on the computer.

Here is my caves assessment. In the first box is what I already know and in the second box is what I have learnt from my amazing trip to Waitomo Caves.

Term 1 Reflection

This term I have enjoyed being a year 4 leader because I got to be in charge of the assembly and get to be a role model in front of the class.
I have also enjoyed going to waitomo caves and learning facts about interesting stuff.
I'm proud of my maths because I had moved to a higher group.

Next term my goals are.....

• Putting more facts in my paragraphs.
• Answering the questions in my grid faster.
• Being a good class mate to others.

Here is my cave poster.
We are learning to creaute a poster to show people how to protect the waitomo caves. I did really with my title and my message was clear.
Next time I will make the writing up the top a bit bigger or in smaller sentences.

ICT challenge

Someone videoed us outside saying the Maori phase of the week.
Saying the Maori phase was easy because I had practiced.
Next time I need to use a louder voice so the video camera can hear me.

Hi, here is a video of my glow-worm presentation that Megan and I presented to the class. When Mrs Natusch was videoed me I used a clear voice and spoke with expression.

Hi everyone. Here is a photo of my awesome pop art.

This is how you do; it; First you print out a photo of you in black and white and then you pick a coloured pastel and colour in your hair with lines and colour it lightly so you can still see under it like mine. Oh by the way you need to use bright colours to finish it. You can copy off mine.

Waitamo Caves trip.

At Waitamo caves it was awesome. We went at 8.00am and left on the bus. I was so excited. My awesome dad came with me and kept me calm.

There were lots of stalagmites and stalactites.

My favourite part inside the cave was going the boat and when we were in the boat we looked up and saw millions of glow-worms and at the end when we hopped out we went on a bush walk. The bush walk lead back to the bus.
